What is Wood Vinegar?

Wood vinegar—also known as Pyroligneous Acid, liquid smoke, or wood acid—is a natural by-product of charcoal production. It’s made by condensing smoke from biomass heated in a low-oxygen environment, a process used for over 2,000 years in places like China, Egypt, and India.

Woodgar Wood Vinegar is 100% natural and chemical-free, making it a certified organic plant bio-stimulant. It enhances root growth, chlorophyll production, and nutrient uptake, while also speeding up seed germination and composting.

Woodgar also acts as a natural pest repellent, helping to deter mites, worms, aphids, and fruit flies, and supports plant health by preventing fungal and bacterial growth. Proudly made in Namibia, Woodgar meets strict quality standards for safe, sustainable agriculture.

"Stinky Stuff"

Stinky Stuff is a concentrated extract derived from WOODGAR, specially formulated with a high level of natural aromatics that help repel unwanted pests such as lice, mites, ticks, flies, and other insects.

The idea behind Stinky Stuff is to create a dedicated pest-repelling product, giving users greater control over the insect-repelling power of wood vinegar. This separation also makes WOODGAR a safer and more targeted option for plants, while minimizing its impact on beneficial insects like bees.

    Our Bio-Char Product

Bio-Char is a stable, carbon-rich substance produced by partially combusting organic waste or biomass in a low-oxygen environment at temperatures exceeding 350°C. Through this process, a porous and durable material is formed, creating an ideal habitat for beneficial micro-organisms, while also retaining nutrients and water.

    Key Benefits of Bio-Char

    • 1kg of Bio-char can hold up to 2.7Kgs of water
    • Provides housing for micro organisms
    • Acts as a buffer for any sudden changes in soil conditions
    • Stores carbon in the soil
    • Improves soil density (lower)
    • Improves breathability of soil
    • Improves the migration of root systems in plants (better root development)
